Where Innovation
Prospers

We chose to locate our Technology Center in SSP 2 since this hub provides businesses with opportunities to be plugged into the pulsing Singapore’s technology start-up, research and design community, where innovation prospers, and talent abounds.

About our Technology Center

When it came time to design its new Technology Center, Penn Color knew that it needed a space that would reflect its values and encourage creativity and collaboration. After an extensive search, the company selected DP Design, a design company headquartered in Singapore and involved in the creation of some of Singapore’s most recognizable buildings, to design the 630-square-meter studio.

The space was entirely designed for Penn Color by Mike Lim, winner of the Design Excellence Awards 2018 2019 Designer of the Year award, and Principal Designer of DP Design.

Perfect balance between form and function

A successful interior should be aesthetically pleasing and stylish while serving a functional purpose and being practical. We wanted to offer our customers and partners a space to enjoy and that seamlessly integrates people, architecture, and technology.

The interior is filled with natural light and tropical elements: it features both communal spaces to encourage communication and collaboration, and private areas reserved for customers who wish to conduct other confidential business.

Interview with the Designer, Mike Lim

As an architect, Lim strives for perfection and believes that the commitment to excellence should permeate every facet of a designer's life, in both their personal and professional lives.

For Lim, designers should be grounded, humane and sensitive, because architecture and interior designs are man-made spaces that are invented for people to live in. Ultimately, it is important for designers to create spaces that are comfortable and inviting for people to live in. And that’s exactly what he achieved with Penn Color's latest Technology Center.
